We left early Sunday morning, August 12, to drive to Popayán.
did I mention that it was EARLY???
The drive to Popayan is beautiful.
I tried to capture the beauty from the car window...it does not do it justice.
The road is full of curves and hair raising experience as the cars pass one another.
There were two bridges that had holes blown into them by the guerrilla.
We had no problem taking the detours and there were plenty of armed forces guarding the highway.
They do not recommend traveling during the night.
Enjoy the scenery...

And then we arrived in Popayán...in time to attend church at the
Recuerdo Norte Chapel.
Sunday was filled with missionary interviews and a fireside on Family Unity
featuring President and Sister Prince.
The chapel was filled from front to back...hopefully everyone went home feeling good!
Monday we woke up and headed to the chapel to set up for zone conference...
...our assistants are always ready to help!!
